New South Wales cricket stars Mark Cameron and David Patterson touched down in Tamworth ready to host a series of fast bowling seminars.
Their first task was a training session with students from McCarthy Catholic College. Having recently played alongside Bendammer quick Josh Hazelwood, Cameron said he was reluctant to share too many tips.
“It’s no good when you see someone who’s going to take your job someday,” joked Cameron. “There’s certainly a high standard of cricket here and it will be intersting to spend time with the boys in the nets.”
More than 70 club cricketers are expected at a second clinic at Riverside Oval.
