In a week where sporting headlines were dominated by a swimmer’s guilt to an assault charge, a test cricketer’s latest drink related issue and a league coach’s unsportsman like behaviour, it’s easy to lose sight of what sport is all about.
It’s refreshing then, when there’s a story which reminds us, and one came today at a primary school at Lake Macquarie.

Yes, indeed what a refreshing story, I personally know Reece’s family and behind every great athlete are the most dedicated of parents. They have given Reece every possible opportunity to pursue and develop his sport of excellence.
Andrew & Trudy are people of strong convictions, determination, and are filled with so much love for their children, nothing is impossible for them as a family.
The determination that I know Trudy and Andrew have, has been passed onto their children, and the gifts that this child obviously possesses has been recognised at a very high level. Congratulations to Reece on his achievements and congratulatinos to Andrew & Trudy on a job well done, we are so proud of you all.
