There was a lucky escape for staff at a Hunter Valley McDonalds overnight, after a car careered through the restaurant’s wall.
Pictures from the scene at Raymond Terrace show the nose of the hatchback pierced through the wall.
Inside, cooking equipment and cabinets were knocked over.
No staff were injured in the incident, which happened at around 7 o’clock on Sunday evening.
The restaurant was closed for some time as structural engineers inspected the damage ahead of repair work getting underway.
