19-YEAR OLD SENTENCED FOR MURDER OF TANIA BURGESS

The teenager who murdered Central Coast school girl, Tania Burgess back in 2005 in a frenzied knife attack, has been sentenced to at least 17-years jail.

Tania Burgess was stabbed 48 times at the Forresters Beach Resort car park, on her way home from school.

In her last words, Tania uttered the attacker’s first name, his school, and his class, and today, Justice Robert Hulme, sentenced that man to jail, for a maximum of 22 years.

The 19-year-old who can’t be named will be eligible for release on July 19, 2022.

His parents say they’ll appeal the sentence, claiming their son did not murder Ms Burgess.

They say police have got the wrong person, and claim they know who is actually responsible for Tania’s death, through their own investigations.
