A woman has been critically injured in a crash involving three motorcycles on the Old Pacific Highway at Calga.
Two bikes heading north collided with a southbound motorcycle, which had the female pillion passenger onboard.
Her leg was almost severed by the impact.
Three others, all men, escaped with non life-threatening injuries.
Police say it appears the bike travelling south had crossed to the wrong side of the road.
