The Newcastle and Central Coast health systems could each save an estimated $33-million a year, if a new model of geriatic care is introduced according to a geriatric expert from Gosford Hospital.
The white paper of the program, which is already being conducted on the Central Coast by Dr Peter Lipski, was presented to the public in Newcastle.
