Oxley police say they’re disappointed with the high speeds detected during Operation Slowdown.
While the number of speeding offences was down on last year, highway patrol officers says the speed some motorists reach is worrying.
A woman in her mid 20s was caught driving at 160 kilometres an hour in 110 zone on the Kamilaroi Highway near Breeza over the weekend.
In the New England England area 63 people were caught speeding, while seven were charged with drink driving.
And now there is rain about, police warn motorists to take extra care and drive to the conditions.
