John Della Bosca has been reinstated as Minister for the Central Coast, along with the health portfolio.
Mr Della Bosca says his first challenge will be to rebuild Gosford and Wyong hospitals.
He also wants to make sure the Central Coast gets its share of government funding, so the region can move forward economically.
