In the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee, you could donate blood and potentially save someone’s life.
But while this task seems simple, the Australian Red Cross is experiencing a huge shortage of blood donors willing to give six minutes of their time.
Blood stocks are at critically low levels and more than 20,000 donations are needed Australia wide to maintain an adequate blood supply.
All potential donors are being asked to come forward to help people with illnesses like cancer and heart disease, as well as accident victims.
