AFL’s BEST HONOURED
While there is no Tamworth AFL games this weekend, the competition has honoured its standout players.
The Tony Gillies medal for best and fairest player in the competition was awarded to the Kangaroos’ Tim Cotter.
It’s the first year in the Tamworth league for Cotter after moving from Newcastle.
18-year-old Gunnedah player, Troy Campbell, took out the rising star award.
Mark Stocker was named the best umpire, while the The Nomads’ Weston Whitby was the season’s top goal scorer on 61 goals, 19 of those in just one game.
