Ned Saffin, the son of federal member for Page, Janelle Saffin has been charged with possessing child pornography.
Police raided the 23-year-old’s Lismore Heights house in March, allegedly seizing computer and electric equipment containing offensive images.
Ned has been granted bail and will appear in Lismore Local Court next month.
Ms Saffin has released a statement saying she loves her son, but will not comment further while the matter is before the court.
