Power stations throughout the Liverpool Plains will be upgraded, following a $6.5-million injection of funds from the state government.
The sub stations earmarked for redevelopment include Quirindi, Currububula and Murrurundi.
More than 90,000 residents will benefit from a boost in power supply.
