HUNDREDS OF SUSPECTS IN WILLIAM’S DISAPPEARANCE

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Jubelin said three years after the boy vanished there remains “hundreds” of persons of interest, more than 4000 pieces of information to sift through and numerous lines of inquiry. “We’re not interested in information from clairvoyants or people that have dreams, what we’re interested in is people that have genuine information. POLICE INVESTIGATE WILLIAM TYRRELL GRAFFITI

Police have ruled out links between a bizarre grafitti message and the disappearance of toddler William Tyrrell. The words “Jesus saves William Tyrell” were found painted on a tree stump inside state forest about 10 kilometres from Kendall, where William vanished. A member of the public made the discovery, along with a small jar full of items, yesterday. In a statement, police say they’re confident the items were part of a GPS treasure-hunt game known as ‘geocaching’. Detectives also say they’re disappointed the game made reference to William’s disappearance. (NO AUDIO)

AUSTRALIA DAY WILLIAM TYRRELL APPEAL

As we come together to celebrate Australia Day, we’re also being urged to take some time to remember missing toddler William Tyrrell. Tuesday marks 501 days since the three-year-old’s suspected abduction from Kendall. It will also be the 50th anniversary of the infamous Beaumont children abductions. ‘Where’s William?’ campaigners say in both cases, it’s clear someone knows something, and they’re urging them to come forward. NEWCASTLE DONS RED AND BLUE FOR WILLIAM

The procession of red and blue continued in Newcastle, with over a thousand people walking along the foreshore to mark the toddler’s disappearance. SES volunteers who have helped in the search for William were joined by people of all ages on the sombre journey to Merewether Beach. Some carried balloons and photos of the little boy, while many, old and young, donned spiderman costumes – an ode to the three-year-old’s now infamous picture.

NSW TO WALK 4 WILLIAM

From the village where William Tyrrell vanished, to towns and cities across the country, there will be marches tomorrow to mark one year since the young boy went missing. It comes as Bill Spedding, a person of interest in the case, refused to explain why he posted a video, proclaiming his innocence, days out from the anniversary.
