BRITISH OPEN BECKONS FOR DODT

Hunter golfer Andrew Dodt has battled wet and windy conditions, to grab a share of the lead heading into the final round of the $9-million Scottish Open. He shot a one under par 71 on day three, including this birdie on 18. The Australian was in a similar position at the BMW PGA Championship in England in late May. As an added bonus, a top three finish would see Dodt qualify for the British Open.

DODT OFF TO A FLYER AT SCOTTISH OPEN

Charlestown golfer Andrew Dodt has made a sensational start to the Scottish Open, after the opening round he’s in a share of second, two shots off the pace. Dodt produced a blistering front nine and can now eye off an even bigger prize. He’ll gain entry into the British Open if he finishes in the top three of those who haven’t already done so. Although the 31 year-old has revealed a problem – he’d already booked a holiday to New York with his wife Ashley for next week, hopefully’ he’ll need to push that trip back.
