MAN KILLED NEAR GLEN INNES IN VEHICLE CRASH

A 55-year-old man has died after his vehicle crashed into a fence in the north of New South Wales. Police say the accident happened shortly after 5pm on Thursday, when a Ford Escape left Loosemores Road at Red Range, about 30km east of Glenn Innes. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. His wife was taken to Lismore Base Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH CLAIMS LIFE OF RIDER WEST OF NEWCASTLE

UPDATE: Authorities have revealed the motorcyclist that died in a single vehicle crash west of Newcastle yesterday was 17-years-old. Police believe the motorcycle was travelling northbound on the M1 Pacific Highway at Cameron Park just after 4:30pm, when it lost control and crashed into the guard railing. The male rider was treated at the scene but died shortly after, no one else was injured. A motorcycle rider has died in a crash near Newcastle this afternoon. The accident happened on the Newcastle Link Road exit of the M1 heading northbound, at Seahampton, shortly before 5pm The male rider was treated at the scene by paramedics, but died a short time later.

19-YEAR-OLD KILLED WHEN HER CAR HITS A TREE NEAR TAMWORTH

A young woman from Quirindi is dead after her vehicle hit a tree in north west New South Wales. Police believe the Hyundai hatch was travelling on Werris Creek Road, about 20km south of Tamworth shortly before 7am, when the car hit a duck. The vehicle then left the road, crashing into a tree. Despite the efforts of police and witnesses to revive the 19-year-old driver, she died at the scene.

ONE KILLED WHEN CAR HITS TREE NEAR PORT MACQUARIE

A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a man this morning on the Mid North Coast. Emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle leaving the road and crashing into a tree on the Pacific Highway, about 20km south of the Port Macquarie turnoff, around 8:30am. The passenger in the vehicle, a man believed to be in his 30’s, died at the scene. The female driver, believed to be in her 30’s, was taken to hospital in a stable condition. She will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

TWO KILLED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION NEAR MOREE

A head-on collision between a sedan and truck has claimed the life of two people in northern NSW. The accident occurred on the Newell Highway, approximately 20 kilometres south of Moree, just after 7:30 this morning. The two passengers of the sedan, a man and a woman, died at the scene. The 42-year-old truck driver was uninjured, and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

MOTORCYCLIST KILLED NEAR SUGARLOAF

A man has died after his VF Honda motorcycle collided with a four-wheel-drive north of Newcastle yesterday. Police say that the 31-year-old was travelling on Bingleburra Road, Sugarloaf, about 80km north of Newcastle around 12:30pm yesterday, when the incident occurred. The motorcyclist, from Moorebank, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the silver Landcruiser, a 42-year-old man from Scone, was not injured, and he was taken for mandatory blood and urine testing.

ONE KILLED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION NEAR BALLINA

A 34-year-old male driver has been killed in a head-on crash in the state’s north. The accident happened just before 4pm today, on Ellis Road in Rous, about 15km from Ballina. The driver and sole occupant of the first vehicle was deceased at the scene when police arrived. A woman and child from the second vehicle were taken to Lismore Hospital for precautionary checks.

SINGLE-CAR CRASH KILLS DRIVER NEAR BENDEMEER

A man has died after his ute flipped on the New England Highway, near Bendemeer last night. Emergency services were called just before 7pm following reports a southbound ute had hit a guard rail and overturned. The driver – aged in his 40s – was thrown from the car and died at the scene. It’s believed he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

PASSENGER EJECTED FROM VEHICLE AND KILLED IN NANA GLEN

A man has been killed on the mid north coast, after the car he was a passenger in left the road and crashed into a tree. Just before 9pm yesterday, the Holden Commodore was travelling on Orara Way in Nana Glen, north west of Coffs Harbour, when the accident occured. Police say the male passenger, aged about 30, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The male driver received minor injuries and was taken for mandatory blood and urine tests

CHILD DIES IN UPPER HUNTER 4WD ROLLOVER

A child has died in a car rollover in the upper Hunter this afternoon. Police say a 4WD ran out of control and rolled on The Golden Highway near the intersection of Ulan Road in Cassilis, around 2:30pm this afternoon. One of the five occupants of the car, a young child, died at the scene. The four remaining occupants were treated at the scene by paramedics for before being taken to Dubbo Hospital.
