ADAM TAGGART INTENT ON PUNISHING HIS FORMER CLUB

Newcastle and Perth are both coming off wins. Former Jet Adam Taggart won’t let nostalgia get in the way of another victory. “I love Newcastle but there’s a job that needs to be done. It’s great we got the win but we need to carry it on.” Cleary Taggart is happy to be playing for his hometown. “2 teams against each other, I wouldn’t swap a Perth player for a Newcastle player. TAGGART SET TO FACE THE JETS FOR THE FIRST TIME

It’ll be an unusual night for Adam Taggart this Saturday, when the former Jet faces the club that launched his A-League career. “Obviously everyone going up against their former club, it’s a more special game. I had such a good time there in terms of the last 12 months I had. NEWCASTLE JETS DEFEATED BY PERTH GLORY

Newcastle Jets have suffered a defeat by Perth Glory on Sunday, falling 6-1. The crowd watched at the Jets dominated the early stages of the game, with a headed goal from striker Milos Trifunović. Newcastle’s dissappointment was compounded when captain Nigel Boogaard was dismissed by referee Shaun Evans in the 45th minute. After halftime, Perth managed to find the back of the net four times against Newcastle, taking lead. The Jets will travel to Adelaide for the Hyundai A-League round 17 next Sunday.
