It’s been confirmed Barnaby Joyce won’t be participating in any candidate forums, ahead of the upcoming New England by-election. The National Party says it’s due to the large number of candidates that don’t live in the electorate… and that Mr Joyce would rather spend the time chatting to voters, than listening to ‘out-of-towners’. BARNABY JOYCE ELECTED UNOPPOSED AS NEW NATIONALS LEADER

Bob Carr and John Hewson have raised doubts about the incoming Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce. The former foreign minister described the new Nationals leader as a comedian and erratic, and likened him to controversial presidential candidate Donald Trump.
