MISSING TODDLER FOUND

A two-year-old boy who wandered away from his mother into bushland on the mid-north coast has been found alive and well.
The full-scale search was turned down last night and was set to resume at daybreak.
However at about 1.15am this morning volunteers found the boy in the dense bushland.
Two-year-old Tyler was with his mother at a mechanic’s workshop at Johns River at around 10:30 this morning, when he wandered off into nearby bushland.
He was checked by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Port Macquarie Hospital as a precaution.
TWO BODIES FOUND AT GOLD COAST HOME

Police are investigating after two bodies were discovered at a house in Ashmore on the Gold Coast.
Regional Crime Coordinator Brian Swan says a family member found the body of a 28-year-old man early this morning and called police.
When emergency services arrived at the house they also discovered the body of a 53-year-old woman in a car.
Police say there doesn’t appear to be any obvious signs of violence, but forensic examinations are only just commencing.
FISHING TRAWLER HITS HARRINGTON BREAKWATER

Three commercial fishermen have made it safely ashore on the New South Wales Mid North Coast after their trawler ran aground on the Harrington breakwater on Thursday morning then sank.
At lunch time on Thursday the 18 metre vessel was semi submerged and resting on the sea floor with a falling tide at the coastal bar crossing east of Taree.
Some fuel spilled into the water after the grounding about 4am.
A plan is being formulated to salvage the trawler.

BODY FOUND IN FLOODED CAR – GRAFTON

A man’s body has been found in a submerged car on the NSW north coast, prompting police to urge motorists not to drive into floodwaters.
The SES were called to Rogan Bridge Road at Mylneford, about 20km northwest of Grafton, shortly before 1pm today after a car was seen submerged in floodwaters.
Police are yet to identify the man.
They’re urging motorists not to drive into floodwaters, following the man’s death and the rescues of at least a dozen others from floodwaters during the severe weather passing down the NSW coast.
The man’s death follows that of a 17 year old boy who was sucked into a drainpipe on a golf course on the mid-north coast on Friday night.
The boy was collecting golf balls in waist deep water with friends in the NSW town of Kew before he got swept away.
A friend found his body on Saturday morning.
