A hearing date has been set for an accused dog killer from Bexhill, Miles Ross Davidson.
Appearing in Lismore court today, Davidson is alleged to have suffocated a one-year-old whippet staffy cross, in January.
Pleading not-guilty, Davidson is facing one count of committing an aggravated act of cruelty.
Local animal rights groups are calling for the maximum sentence of two year’s prison if found guilty.
Davidson will re-appear in Lismore Local Court on August 17.
