Three teenagers have been charged following the vicious assault of a father and his daughter at Charlestown Square last weekend.
On Sunday, a 13-year-old girl had been at the movies when she was allegedly sent threatening text messages.
Her father arrived to take her home when he says they were set upon outside the shopping centre.
He suffered suspected broken ribs, while his daughter received cuts and brusies.
Late yesterday, two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were charged with various offences.
They’ve been granted conditional bail to appear in children’s court on May 4.

No doubt these 3 will get off as our legal system is geared at protecting grubs like these 3 bafoons. We need a justice system that will deter people from acts like this.

No excuses! This lot should be made example of , instead of the usual slap on the wrist. And then a life size poster with their names should be placed in Charlestown Sq.

these kids need to be dealt with severely to mak the message clear to all of their fronds. Obviously the numerous campaigns against bullying just aren’t impacting some kids the way we had hoped. For the sake of our community I hope the justic system shows little mercy.
Nothing will happen to these thugs , there name won’t be published , I think we should name& shame them , there has to be more police hanging out at Charlestown Square & make them get rid of all the young kids hanging outside the square ,
to all these people saying they won’t be names and shamed, their pictures and their names were all on facebook yesterday.
I also agree with some other people’s comments about the lack of punishment for juveniles in the system . The cycle needs to be stopped at some point otherwise the next generation will beleive it’s ok to attack people !
Maybe they should have to help people that have been effected by violent behaviour in order to see the results of people’s actions like their own .
