An incident management team has been established, to investigate a mystery disease which has killed a large number of turtles in the Bellinger River.
National Parks and Bellingen Shire Council have formed the group, following the death of around 100 turtles.
Initial water samples have ruled out pesticides or chemicals as the cause, while toxicology results are yet to be released.
