FRAUDSTER WALKS
A man who admitted he helped embezzle almost $6-million from unsuspecting investors, has walked free.
John Pitcher was charged over his role in the money-laundering scheme.
Associates of the 31 year old set-up a fake investment company called ‘West Two’.
The scam involved cold-calling people, and persuading them to deposit money into a bank account, on the promise it would be invested.
Instead, Pitcher was employed for $700 a week to withdraw for them a total of $265,000.
Pitcher was sentenced to two years behind bars, wholly suspended.
