MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER SAVING CHILD IN BIKE CRASH

A 61 year-old man remains in a critical condition tonight after saving a nine year-old girl from injury during a bicycle collision in Wyoming yesterday afternoon.

Police say the pair were riding near Brooks Avenue when they crashed into one another and the man grabbed the girl to avoid impact with the ground.

Moments later he suffered a heart attack.

Witnesses performed CPR at the scene, before the man was flown from Gosford to Royal North Shore Hospital.
