WEATHER WITH GAVIN MORRIS: CHRISTMAS FORECAST

It was one of the stormiest starts to Summer on record and the month is ready to end in the same fashion.
The atmospheric set is almost identical to the first week of December. That means it is going to be hot and humid with consistent shower and storm development across the region. The storms have already begun with a few small cells over parts of the Hunter and northern ranges today. That development will spread further north from tomorrow and Christmas Eve will see storms affect a large chuck of NSW.

On Christmas Day it will be a similar story with the storm development spreading further north and could start to affect the Northern Rivers. The Gold Coast will see a fine Christmas period with the storms set to develop at the end of the week.

The surf will remain small, driven by the strong afternoon sea breezes so northern corners will be your best chance.
