WEATHER WITH GAVIN MORRIS: Fine weekend but storms to return over Christmas.

A fine weekend is on the way for most of the broadcast region. There’s an increased chance of a shower or two along the northern ranges on Sunday.

During Christmas another slow moving trough is going to move in across New South Wales. There will be a few isolated afternoon showers and storms about on Christmas Eve mostly to the south including the Hunter. On Christmas Day the trough is set to move closer to the region and the shower and storm activity is expected to increase.

The trough will inch its way towards the north-east corner of New South Wales helping to spread the shower and storm development to that region on Boxing Day.
