A man, who allegedly walked through Taree’s CBD yesterday dressed in an Army-style camouflage vest, carrying a replica handgun, has been refused bail in court today.
20-year-old William Butler from Taree, is charged with possessing a prohibited fire arm, intimidation and offensive conduct.
Police say they arrested Mr Butler at Manning Mall after receiving numerous reports from the public that a man appeared to be carrying a blue gun through the centre of town.
He will re-appear in court in February.
