History and harbour buffs take note.
A new day trip was launched today – the first of its kind in the Hunter region.
It’s a collaboration between a local tour boat operator, the Newcastle Museum and the Hunter Wetlands Centre.
“It provides lots of different perspectives of Newcastle in one day, it’s good for visitors short on time and locals who want a new perspective on their town,” said Anna Ryan from Hunter Wetlands Centre.
The cruise explores the harbour, before heading up the Hunter River to the wetlands, then returns to dry land for a guided tour of the museum.
