The EPA says it’s pleased with the result of a one-day operation, targeting truck noise at Martins Creek.
It launched the investigation in response to numerous complaints from residents, that heavy vehicles along Grace Avenue were being too loud.
“Positive results from today’s operation with all of the vehicles that were tested complying with their noise requirements and that’s a great result, and we’ll continue to make sure that heavy vehicle drivers are complying with those limits.”
But Paterson residents fear noise levels will increase, if the proposed expansion of a Daracon Group quarry goes ahead.
