GLENREAGH CALLS FOR ACTION ON TREES AND BATS

Glenreagh residents are demanding changes to laws that prevent them clearing trees, which are currently home to a group of flying-foxes.

Coffs Harbour MP, Andrew Fraser, has backed the community and says he’ll be raising the issue with the state government.

  1. They are already clearing the trees which house the colony and at the same time having a whinge about them moving closer to the houses. Standing near the police station there is a noticeable thinning of trees. They are currently on farmland, away from the residential area. I though Coffs MP Andrew Fraser was a bit more sensible than to cater to the lowest common denominator. He really needs to do his research a little better.
