COUPLE PUT THEIR BODIES ON THE LINE FOR A CAUSE

A Gold Coast couple is about to attempt a task that would leave even the most experienced athlete breathless.

Ashleigh Harris and Ray Brown are putting their bodies on the line for a good cause.

The pair is in training to run non-stop, up and down North Burleigh stairs for 24 gruelling hours.

Their ambitious quest will raise funds for a Vanuatu disability centre, knowns as ‘Friends of People with Special Needs’.

“Just doing it for the people who aren’t as lucky as us and can’t move like us and aren’t as fortunate as us to do the things we can do.”

They’re also hoping to break the Guiness World Record for vertical distance travelled up stairs.

The run kicks off on December 13.

Donations can be made on the couple’s ‘Fit For A Cause’ website.
