Plans for a new heli-pad at Tamworth Hospital have been announced, as part of its multi-million dollar redevelopment.
The pad will be constructed near the new emergency department.
It will include an undercover walkway and a lift to ground level for quick access.
“There is a need for a lift, that’s all part of the process, we see that as an important part of getting patients quickly and efficiently from the heli-pad into the emergency department.”
It’s hoped work will start at the end of the year.
