FOUR IN HOSPITAL AFTER CAR SMASH

A 64-year-old woman has had part of her leg amputated after a car crash near Quirindi today.

Emergency services worked for over an hour to free her from the vehicle, which rolled on the Kamilaroi Highway 10 kilometres south of Breeza.

Once freed, she was flown to Tamworth Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Three others were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
