Police are appealing for information after two children were approached by a man at Long Jetty.
The children – aged five and seven – were playing on the footpath along Bellevue Street yesterday morning when a white van stopped nearby.
Police say the male driver beckoned the pair towards him, but they ran away.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his late teens or early 20s and wearing a red hoodie.
It’s believed the van has dark spray paint on the front.
