Moonbi trainer Dean Chapple secured a rare double last night, taking out Tamworth Harness Racing Club’s Trainer of the Year and Driver of the Year awards.
Chapple drove 24 local winners in 2013-14 to win the championship for the 11th time since the year 2000.
The other big winner on the night was the Missen stable, after gelding Soho Eros defended his Horse of the Year crown.
Peter Missen’s Tamworth Cup winning effort aboard the seven-year-old also saw him win Drive of the Year.
