A teenager has been charged over the stabbing of a 17-year-old girl in Lake Macquarie.
Police were called to bushland near Flaggy Creek Reserve at Kahibah at around nine last night, following reports of a stabbing.
It’s alleged an 18-year-old female stabbed the other girl with a pocket knife in the chest, stomach, arms and hands during a fight.
The girl was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.
The 18 year old has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Belmont Local Court later this month.
