Specialist detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have begun an investigation after an infant boy was hospitalised on the Central Coast last week.
At about 11pm last Tuesday, the seven-month-old was taken to Wyong Hospital suffering serious injuries to his head and body.
He was later transferred to Sydney Children Hospital’s ICU, where he remains in a critical condition.
