Port Macquarie’s Matt Banting will have his work cut out for him, when he goes up against fellow Aussie Mick Fanning in Round Two of the Quiksilver Pro in France
Banting took an early lead in round one against Kelly Slater and Matt Wilkson, but fell behind his opponents as they sealed near perfect rides.
He posted a final score of 11.50
Wilkinson won the round with an average of 14.67.
