Around 50 cyclists finished a 500 kilometre journey in Tamworth today all in the name of charity.
The 14th annual Ride for the Chopper started in Glen Innes last Friday – raising over $70, 000 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
“This year we’ve ridden back from Glen Innes, we’ve gone through inverell, Bingara, Barraba, Manilla, Tamworth and we’ve done 500 and sixty-something kilometres.”
The event ensures the vital service remains 100 per cent community owned and operated.
People came from all over the country to take part.
