HOPE FADES AS SEARCH FOR WILLIAM TYRELL ENTERS SIXTH DAY

Survival experts have told police that if William Tyrell was in the bush he would no longer be alive.

“The experts can not substantiate that survival in the bush would be there at this point and time,” Superintendant Paul Fehon said.

It comes after six days of searching for the three-year-old, who disappeared from his grandmother’s house in Kendall, on the mid north coast, on Friday.

Volunteer search numbers have decreased significantly over the past few days.

Police and SES will continue to canvass a three kilometre radius from where William was last seen, while Strike Force Rosann will follow any potential leads surrounding his disappearance.

“We have no indication of whether young William is out in the bush or whether other forms of human intervention are involved.”
