Wind gusts reached 67 kilometres an hour in Taree and 82 kilometres an hour in Port Macquarie.
Beaches were also extremely dangerous, with the swell reaching around five metres.
Luckily the weather didn’t do too much damage, with the SES receiving just 25 calls for assistance.
