SOCIAL PINPOINT PROVING TO BE A SUCCESS
The latest online mapping tool has proved a success for Tamworth Regional Council, with more than 550 people using it since its introduction last month.
Social Pinpoint allows people to ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ projects involving road and rail, waste management and flooding.
The site has received 750 visits, with more than 100 comments entered into the system.
It was designed to increase community engagement with the 2014-2030 Infrastructure Strategy.
“We realise that people are online and they like to use systems like this and we’ve met the community here so they can have some real input here both ways, I can make comments back on the screen as well when they ask questions.”
