COMMUNITY BUS CRASHES INTO HOUSE IN GRAFTON
A 60-year-old driver is suffering from minor injuries, after the bus he was driving crashed into a house on Riverside Drive in Grafton just before nine o’clock this morning.
Police say nursing home residents were about to board the vehicle when a safety system malfunction caused the brakes to fail.
The vehicle rolled down a sloping driveway, across the road and slammed into the house.
“Luckily no passengers on the bus at the time and in relation to the house there were some people at the home, not in the room that was effected and everyone’s fine,” said Inspector Jo Reid from Clarence police.
