When a blast echoed through Oxenford this morning, Movie World neighbours thought it was the daily Stunt Show until they wandered outside to find this.
The Ute brought down power lines, sparking a bushfire on Kopps Road, and cutting power to more than 2000 homes.
“I heard the bang I thought what’s that?”
“it just sounded like a bomb going off”
“but he’s very lucky cause the powerlines are hanging there’s a tree actually stopping it coming down further”
The 26 year old driver ran from the blaze, despite suffering a neck injury.
He told witnesses he was shooing a bee, when he crashed.
Police are investigating.
