Maritimo Newcastle has taken out round 4 of the Australian Offshore Superboat Series.
It’s the power boat’s second win in Coffs Harbour in successive years and is now well placed to lead the competition after the next round in Queensland.
Winning driver Darren Nicholson says it was an exciting, bone jarring experience for all competitors in the big swell.
“Very rough – there was lots of air time and thankfully we came back down each time the right way up,” Maritimo Newcastle driver Darren Nicholson said.
Navy Health came second in the extreme class followed by Maritimo Australia.
