Cold weather didn’t stop dedicated race-goers from attending the first day of the Taree Gold Cup Carnival.
Small crowds gathered to watch the eight-race program.
Colour of Love won the second race of the day, with Miss Eejay and Fascinant coming in a close second and third.
But the big day is on Sunday, when the $60,000 Gold Cup will be run.
Wyong trained gelding Lucky Liasson is the favourite.
