Group Three board members will use this weekend’s game between the Macleay Valley Mustangs and Old Bar to assess whether the Kempsey ground is up to hosting the grand final.
Earlier this year, the board decided it would not let a grand final be played in Kempsey because of issues with parking and facilities.
But that decision has been put on hold, after the board met with Kempsey Shire Council and members of the Mustangs.
Group Three officials say it will assess how the club goes hosting this weekend’s Preliminary Semi before making a final decision.
Macleay must win it’s next two-games to qualify to host the grand final.
