A development application for the extension of the Coffs Central Shopping Centre has been given the green light at last night’s Council meeting.
The DA involves the demolition of the former hardware store and supermarket to make way for a new two storey building.
It also proposes to raise footpath levels to allow pedestrian access along Harbour Drive and Gordon Street, the removal of the roundabout and installation of traffic lights at the intersection.
Council and the developer will share the costs of required roadworks.
