5 YEAR OLD SHANNON CREEK DAM NEAR GRAFTON PAYS OFF

They are now relying on water from the $180 million Shannon Creek Dam which is at 92 percent capacity after a series of wet seasons.

Clarence Valley Mayor Richie Williamson says both councils were accessing supply from the Nymboida River until the water flow dropped too low.

He says the real value of the dam is now becoming clear.
