Authorities combing a fire-ravaged property in the Kremnos area, south of Grafton, have made an unexpected discovery.
Police say they located a shipping container, buried beneath a mound of earth.
Inside, they allegedly found hydroponically-grown cannabis plants worth more than $600,000.
“Upon entering the bunker it was overly apparent that some form of enhanced means of cultivating plants had been established inside that bunker and numerous plants are growing.”
Officers say a 68-year-old man is helping them with their inquiries.
