Former Central Coast athlete Martin Dent has announced his retirement from International competition, after finishing 19th in the Commonwealth Games Marathon in Glasgow.
Dent made his senior Australian debut 15-years ago, and triumphed in some of the country’s biggest races, including City to Surf.
He also finished fourth in the Commonwealth Games Steeplechase in 2006, and was sixth in the Marathon in Delhi in 2010.
The 35-year old returned to the Coast last month – smashing the Bay to Bay half marathon record.
